CURVE MODEL DEVELOPMENT
October 12th, join me for a full day workshop in New York City to learn first-hand what's expected in this growing, competitive market. The objective is to prepare models to work with clients & other creatives, learn how to build a comprehensive portfolio, and gain a strong foundation for becoming successful plus-sized models. Too often, models feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to navigate their path in the industry, even when they're signed to a modeling agency. This workshop can help you approach your modeling career with a sense of clarity, helping to keep you on a path to success, and understand how to adjust your individual trajectory when you feel stuck.
What’s in the Workshop?
This workshop will cover a variety of topics & exercises, such as how to best work with your modeling agency; preparing for castings; general do’s and don’t’s; and other expectations of successful models. Most complexities that a model may struggle with can be avoided - if they’re informed. This is an opportunity to ask questions, get feedback, and avoid common pitfalls.
Participants will work through two photoshoot opportunities with me as Photographer. Two scenarios will focus on movement, expression, marketability, and nailing “the shot.” In the cost of this workshop is hair and makeup provided by one of my most talented colleagues, Lauren O’Leary. She is an incredible artist who has worked on various mainstream campaigns & brands, and a curve model herself.
We’ll be reviewing each participant’s best images, allowing immediate feedback on your performance for direction on what can be improved upon..
Following the workshop, all participants receive (4) retouched images toward their portfolio from the day. Downloadable guides will be available to participants as they’re added online. Each participant also receives a voucher toward a future shoot with Chris Carroll Photography.
(For additional topics covered, please refer to the workshop tab in the navigation)
Celebrity Makeup Artist, Lauren O'Leary, is also joining us to help demonstrate successful makeup techniques you can use for client castings & photoshoots. Lauren has worked with various top models and clients in the industry, such as major companies GUESS & MAYBELLINE.
Lauren is also a curve model with TRUE Model Management here in New York.
